Deb Agarwal received her MS and PhD degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Deb's primary research and development topic is group communication protocols. She leads the Reliable and Secure Group Communication project. Deb also researches development of secure collaborative systems to support scientific collaboration. She leads the Pervasive Collaborative Computing Environment project. Deb has been at LBNL since 1994.
photo of Vern Paxson Vern Paxson 
Vern Paxson received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California, Berkeley. He began at the ICIR group of the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) in 1999. Vern splits his time between ICSI and LBNL. Vern's main active research projects are Bro, worms, DETER and NIMI.

Crag Leres is a hardware, device driver, and BSD expert. He is responsible for many critical systems at LBNL. He is also a member of the lab's cyber security team.
